Blogging

Introduction:  Blogs (short for weblogs) are publicly accessible online journals written by individuals (such as teachers) for others (such as students, families, and other educators) to read and comment upon. Blogs can be used by teachers to post student homework assignments and classroom notes, and converse about different concepts and ideas. The way you approach blogging will depend on how you teach and learn.

Activity:  A number of online sites are available to help people get started with and create blogs. Others are content sites that "bloggers" have developed.  Several have an educational focus for teachers and students. Tour the blogging tools on the right side bar or search on your own.  (Reference Maloy Tech Tool 8.1, page 221)

1. Create a Posting and add a Web link to your posting.
2. Comment on another student's posting.
